September 1-5: Peter and Sarah get married in Mt. Vernon, Wshington
September 2
Although many Nimises have been at it all week, the first event Maureen and I are in time for is the Mexican brunch directed by Connie Nimis at the home of Lance and Anita. As we eat and drink, the crabs caught by the crew are prepared by Fred and Larry.
Maureen and Greg and I take a drive/walk to the environs of Lance's place, including a visit to Deception pass.
That night there is a cookout at the campgrouond where David adn Jackie are staying. We even have TV access to watch the Vikings lose to Seattle.
September 3
We join the Don Nimis family for a ferry trip to Orcas Island, where we drive around and hike. We arrive back to the mainland in time for the crabfest, which is in full swing. We have oysters, crab, beer, and some other things I didn't try to make sure I could eat the maximum amount of crab. Did we order too much beer? Have we ever?
September 4
Today is the wedding. We take a tour of downtown and underground Seattle. Not everyone apreciates the air quality in the undeground. Back to Mount Vernon for the wedding and reception.
September 5
While some head back downtown for more shopping, others take a drive to the Olympic mountains.
