After that, we chose to obtain
a Vermont Civil Union in September of 2000. While not a
marriage, and while certainly not recognized as anything in
the State of Ohio, we nevertheless chose to travel to
Vermont to show our support and to take one step closer in
our relationship. Below is the announcement we sent out to
friends and family.
Since both Steve and I are
allergic to animals, we had to get creative with the idea
of having a pet around the house. So, meet Sparky, our
puppy. He's one of the best investments we've ever made.
