Encountering Asia: A Workshop for K-12 Teachers

Instructions for registration:
- Download
and print the registration form
- Fill out required information, including your lunch box
preference
- Enclose a $45 check payable to Miami University
- Mail your form with check to: MCAA Teacher’s Workshop

- Registrations must be received by October 9 for lunch to be
included. You may continue to register through October 15,
but you will not be guaranteed a lunch.
Information about Continuing Education Units
(CEUs):
- We are pleased to offer certificates for continuing education
at a rate of 0.1 CEUs for every hour attended at the workshop, up
to 0.9 CEUs.
- If participants attend the three workshop panels plus the lunch
exhibition, they will receive 0.7 CEUs.
- If participants attend the optional presidential panels (or
another panel), they may receive up to 0.2 additional CEUs based on
hours attended.
- Participants will need to sign in an attendance form for each
workshop session attended
- CEU award certificates will be mailed to participants upon
completion of the workshop.
- It is up to each participant to submit the CEU award
certificates to their local LPDC as application for
credit.
- If you would like to attend MCAA panels not officially included
in the Teacher’s Workshop and receive credit, you must do the
following:
- Select a panel, exhibition, or
presentation from the MCAA conference schedule that you would like
to attend
- Send an email to Stacy Brinkman, MCAA Outreach Coordinator:
brinkmsn@muohio.edu. Indicate which panel you would like to
attend BEFORE October 16, 2009
- Stacy will create a special sign-in sheet for the panel you
indicated.
- Make sure you sign the special attendance form on the day of
the conference to ensure you get credit.
