GREAL - East Asian Studies
East Asian Studies Minor

This interdisciplinary program is open to all majors. It introduces students to cultures of East Asian countries, including art, literature, history, geography, religion, sociology, economics, and political systems.

* A minor in East Asian Studies may be used to fulfill the thematic sequence requirement.

Language proficiency

All students must attain a second-year language proficiency in either Chinese or Japanese. Completion of CHI 202 or JPN 202, or higher level of courses will fulfill this requirement. Contact the adviser of EAS for the proficiency assessment if necessary.
