For summer 2006 Miami University has available 100
Undergraduate Summer Scholar (USS) awards to support
student research or other creative activities.
Program Features:
a fellowship award of $2,500
12 hours of academic credit
a $400 project allowance
a $600 faculty allowance
Program enables Miami undergraduates to do research or
other creative activities in the summer under the
supervision of an individual faculty mentor.
Focus of the USS Program is on learning and understanding
the processes of research and scholarship.
Participation is encouraged across all academic areas of
the University. Artistic composition, field projects,
library research, and laboratory research are only some of
the models possible under this program.
