LOOKING FOR A JOB?
Helpful information from Career Services.

The spring on-campus interviewing schedule is relatively light at this time, but new employers are registering daily. Please CONTINUE to check our online system regularly for possible interview opportunities. However, do not rely solely on this method of job searching.

Attend our workshops, research employers using http://www.units.muohio.edu/careers/students/careersearchportal.shtml CareerSearch and directories in our Career Resource Center, review our http://www.units.muohio.edu/careers/students/Web/ site for career information and dozens of links to relevant job-search sites, and come to http://www.units.muohio.edu/careers/springice/faqs.pdf Spring ICE. Call us at 529-3831 to make an appointment with a career advisor or to schedule a practice "mock" interview. Our office hours are M-F, 8AM-5PM. No appointment is necessary to use our Career Resource Center in 241 Hoyt Hall.

If you have not yet registered with Career Services, it is not too late. Go to http://www.units.muohio.edu/careers/students/registrationandinterviews.shtml. Register via our Web site.

POMPEII ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH PROJECT: PORTA STABIA
This year will be the third season of excavation for the Pompeii Archaeological Research Project: Porta Stabia (PARP:PS). Applications are welcome for one of 18 excavation and survey positions for one or two artifact analysis positions. Please see the website www.stanford.edu/group/pompeii for more information regarding how to apply, program details, academic credit, and living conditions. If you have further questions, you can reach us at parpps@yahoo.com. Closing date for all applications is March 1, 2007.

PARP:PS will continue investigating the neighborhood inside the Porta Stabis (Insula VIII.7) from its earliest origins through to 79 CE. Our focus is on understanding the urban construction and spatial arrangement of this unique area of the city by recovering its full archaeological sequence using modern methods of excavation, architectural survey, and artifact analysis.

This field school represents a close collaboration between Stanford University and the University of Michigan.
