solely on this method of job searching.

POMPEII
ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH PROJECT: PORTA STABIA
This year will be the third season of
excavation for the Pompeii Archaeological Research Project:
Porta Stabia (PARP:PS). Applications are welcome for one of
18 excavation and survey positions for one or two artifact
analysis positions. Please see the website www.stanford.edu/group/pompeii for
more information regarding how to apply, program
details, academic credit, and living conditions. If
you have further questions, you can reach us at
parpps@yahoo.com. Closing date for
all applications is March 1, 2007.
PARP:PS will continue investigating the neighborhood inside
the Porta Stabis (Insula VIII.7) from its earliest origins
through to 79 CE. Our focus is on understanding the urban
construction and spatial arrangement of this unique area of
the city by recovering its full archaeological sequence
using modern methods of excavation, architectural survey,
and artifact analysis.
This field school represents a close collaboration
between Stanford University and the University of
Michigan.
